Just watched a documentary.

God is the Bigger Elvis

Dolores Hart
was an actress from 1947 to 1983.
She converted to Catholicism when she was 10 years old. In 1956, she played a love interest of Elvis Presley in "Loving You."

She starred in 10 movies and 2 episodes from 2 series.

In June 1963, she entered the The Abbey of Regina Laudis
and became a cloistered Benedictine nun at the abbey.

Things she shared in the documentary
that spoke to me:

~ "If you discover Hope, you might find faith."

~ "Stability - has to come within me."

~  "Faith was going to heal everything."

~ "God is on my side.'"

~ "Love is true communion with God."

~ "Eternal love is the mystery found in monastic life."

~ "Prayer: Holding a constant openness in my heart
     that God exists."

~ "How do you explain God?"

~ "How do you explain Love?"

~ "... In love with God"

~ "Monastic life:  Hot house where things get worked out."

~ "Contemplation: Trying to find a home for my heart.
     The heart grows".
